For me, creating art is a deeply emotional process. I believe a successful painting provokes a

response—whether positive or negative—and truly engages the viewer’s senses. If my work

sparks feeling, thought, or curiosity, then it has done its job.

Influenced by 17th century tronies, I express through bold color, layered texture, and a

willingness to explore both what is traditionally considered beautiful and what is not. I find

beauty in everything that surrounds us, often in places where it’s least expected. Society may tell

us what to value, but I believe beauty exists in both our differences and our shared humanity. Sometimes,

we simply need to look a little closer—to slow down and appreciate, 

I’m driven by the belief that an artist should never become complacent. Creating is a lifelong

journey, not a destination. Our abilities should never fully meet our expectations; instead, we

must continue to reach, evolve, and push ourselves forward—while enjoying every step of the

process.
